To facilitate the live broadcasting of proceedings from all benches of the Supreme Court, a trial is being conducted through an app. Currently, only the hearings held in the constitutional bench of the Supreme Court are broadcast live.

Today, a trial of broadcasting hearings from all benches was conducted. Previously, on September 27, 2022, the Supreme Court live-broadcasted a hearing of the constitutional bench for the first time. The then Chief Justice U.U. Lalit made the decision to broadcast the constitutional bench hearings during a meeting with all the judges.

A System to Keep the Court Open for Everyone

On the last working day of former Chief Justice N.V. Ramana, live broadcasting of Supreme Court proceedings took place on August 26, 2022. On September 26, 2018, the Supreme Court approved the live broadcasting of proceedings from the Supreme Court and High Courts. The Supreme Court stated that there is a provision for keeping courts open to everyone in India, and now people will not need to come to court.
