Following the terrorist attack in Gandarbal that resulted in the deaths of seven people, Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha stated on Monday that Pakistan is still attempting to kill innocent people and disrupt peace in Jammu and Kashmir. Sinha urged the police to investigate the Gandarbal terrorist attack to ensure justice for the victims and their families. Meanwhile, an NIA team arrived on Monday in Ganganir, located in Central Kashmir’s Gandarbal district, where six laborers and one doctor were killed in a major terrorist attack the previous evening.

At the Srinagar police martyrdom day ceremony, Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha emphasized that we will not forget the cowardly terrorist attack on an under-construction tunnel in Gund, Gandarbal district, which claimed the lives of a doctor from Kashmir and six non-local laborers, leaving five others injured. He stated that there is still a threat to India from the neighboring country.

The Lieutenant Governor remarked that innocent people should be protected, but the guilty must not be spared. He paid tribute to those who lost their lives in the line of duty, asserting that their sacrifices would always be remembered. He mentioned that our security forces have bravely fought against terrorism in Jammu and Kashmir, and in their honor, a martyrdom column has been established. Their sacrifice is supreme. He assured the families of the security personnel who fell while on duty that their education, health, insurance coverage, and other needs would be taken care of. “We stand with them for their bright future,” he added.
