Yogi roared on Bengal violence: The state is burning, why is the government silent?

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has expressed serious concern over the violence in Murshidabad in West Bengal. He criticized the growing anarchy in the state and the policies of Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee.

At an event held in Hardoi, CM Yogi said that before 2017, communal tensions were often seen in Uttar Pradesh. He made it clear that firm action is necessary in such situations. Commenting on the current situation in West Bengal, he said that Murshidabad has been the center of unrest for a week.

Appreciating the role of the Calcutta High Court, he thanked the court for the deployment of central forces which ensured the safety of minority Hindus. At the same time, he accused the Congress, Samajwadi Party and Trinamool Congress of being silent on the violence in Murshidabad.

Speaking on the Waqf law, CM Yogi expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah. He said that this law will prevent illegal occupation of land and provide new opportunities for development in the interest of the poor.

At the end of his address, he took a dig at opponents of the Wakf law and said that they are only concerned about their vested interests. He believes that this law will curb corruption and illegal occupation.
