Israel supports ‘Operation Sindoor’, says – there is no mercy against terrorism

Israel has expressed support for India’s air strike on terrorist camps in Pakistan. Israel’s ambassador to India, Reuven Azar, reacting on the social media platform X, said, “Israel supports India’s right to self-defense. Terrorists should be aware that they cannot be safe anywhere from the heinous crimes they have committed against innocent people.”

Indian armed forces carried out targeted operations against terrorist infrastructure in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir under ‘Operation Sindoor’. The military operation was carried out following the April 22 terror attack in Pahalgam in which the involvement of Pakistan-based terror groups was found.

According to Indian intelligence agencies, Lashkar-e-Taiba’s proxy organization ‘The Resistance Front’ had claimed responsibility for the Pahalgam attack. The military action targeted the same terrorist training camps and logistics centers that were associated with this attack.

The Indian Army spokesperson clarified the nature of the operation, “Our action was focused and precise. We targeted only those terrorist training camps from where attacks against India were planned and executed.” He also clarified that “the purpose and execution of the operation was not to escalate tensions.”

The Indian government has confirmed that all nine targeted locations were successfully struck. No civilian, military or economic infrastructure of Pakistan was damaged in the operation.

This action reflects India’s firm resolve against terrorism at the international level. India’s clear message is that it will not hesitate to take necessary steps to ensure the safety of its citizens, as well as take strong action against cross-border terrorism.
