India-Pakistan Asia Cup 2025 Final: Professional Analysis

The final of the Asia Cup 2025 will be held between India and Pakistan at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium on Sunday. This is the first time in the history of the 41-year-old tournament that the two arch-rivals will face each other in the final.

India remains unbeaten in the current tournament, having defeated Pakistan in both the league stage and the Super 4. The Indian team will not only be looking to secure a hat-trick of victories against Pakistan, but also aim to win the Asia Cup for a record ninth time.

The pitch at the Dubai International Stadium favors spin bowlers, while fast bowlers can also extract swing with the new ball. Of the 119 T20 Internationals played at this ground, 63 have been won by chasing teams and 55 by defending teams. The average first innings score is 140.

In T20 International cricket, India and Pakistan have met 15 times, with India winning 12 and Pakistan winning 3. However, Pakistan has a better 3–2 record against India in multinational tournament finals.

India’s probable playing 11: Abhishek Sharma, Shubman Gill, Suryakumar Yadav (captain), Tilak Varma, Sanju Samson (wicketkeeper), Shivam Dubey, Hardik Pandya, Axar Patel, Kuldeep Yadav, Jasprit Bumrah, Varun Chakravarthy.

Pakistan’s probable playing 11: Sahibzada Farhan, Fakhar Zaman, Saim Ayub, Salman Agha (captain), Hussain Talat, Mohammad Haris (wicketkeeper), Mohammad Nawaz, Faheem Ashraf, Shaheen Afridi, Haris Rauf, Abrar Ahmed.

The final match is set to write another important chapter in the cricket rivalry between the two countries.
