The Comptroller and Auditor General of India (CAG) on Tuesday found the Punjab government to have underutilised health funds ranging from 6.5% to 20.74% of the allocated budget. Security agencies have arrested a Pakistani spy identified as Pathan Khan, son of Dinu Khan, in Jaisalmer district of Rajasthan. Pathan Khan, a local resident, is suspected of transmitting sensitive information of India to Pakistan. The central government has announced a hike in the salary, allowances and pension of MPs and former MPs from April 1, 2023. According to a gazette notification issued by the Ministry of Parliamentary Affairs, the salary of members of Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha has been increased from the present Rs 1 lakh to Rs 1.24 lakh per month, while the daily allowance has been increased from Rs 2,000 to Rs 2,500. On Sunday, March 23, a tragic incident took place in Delhi’s Deer Park where a minor boy and girl were found hanging from a tree. Both were around 17 years old and were found hanging from the same nylon rope. The incident was reported to the police by a security guard, following which policemen immediately reached the spot.
