In a bid to stop crowding in local trains in Mumbai, railway authorities added 753 new special services from Monday, taking the entire number of services on the suburban network to2,773, officials said. Four Naxals belonging to the banned People’s Liberation Front of India (PLFI) outfit are arrested in Jharkhand’s Simdega district and arms and ammunition seized from their possession, police said on Monday. Acting on a tip-off, police personnel conducted an enquiry operation in Kanarowan forest in Bano police headquarters area on Sunday and arrested the four Naxals, Superintendent of Police Shams Tabrez said. The Travancore Devaswom Board has issued new guidelines ahead of the Sabarimala festival season. The festival season begins on November 16. All devotees must possess a Covid-19 negative certificate and they must wear masks and use sanitisers.
