Uttarakhand government has decided to demolish unsafe buildings in Joshimath. The city, which is facing the problem of land subsidence, is divided into three zones. A Delhi court on Tuesday extended the judicial custody of Aftab Amin Poonawalla, accused in the murder and dismemberment of his live-in partner, by another 14 days. Poonawalla was produced before Metropolitan Magistrate Aviral Shukla. The court, while extending his judicial custody for 14 days, directed the jail authorities to provide him with warm clothes. Earlier on January 6, the court had extended the judicial custody of Poonawalla for four days. The Delhi Police on Monday said that the woman was dragged by a car for about 12 km in the incident that took place in Kanjhawala area and a medical board has been constituted to conduct the postmortem of the victim. A court in Maharashtra’s Palghar district on Saturday sent actor Sheezan Khan, arrested for allegedly abetting the suicide of his co-actress Tunisha Sharma, to 14-day judicial custody. On Saturday, after the expiry of his police custody, Khan was produced before a magistrate’s court in Vasai. On Friday, the police custody of the actor was extended by one more day.
