An indigenously built stealth destroyer of the Indian Navy, the BrahMos supersonic cruise missile, was successfully test-fired from the Arabian Sea on Sunday, officials said. An assistant sub-inspector (ASI) of the CRPF and a civilian were injured in a grenade explosion in Jammu and Kashmir’s Pulwama district on Sunday, police said. Militants hurled the grenade at security forces near the Tral Sumo stand in the south Kashmir district, a police official said. A suicide car bombing on Sunday killed at least 12 people and wounded more than 100 others in Afghanistan’s western Ghor province, officials said. The head of a hospital in Ghor, Mohammad Omer Lalzad, said emergency staff were treating dozens of people with both serious and light injuries from the bombing. He expected the death toll to rise.
