A youth was shot by militants in Nildoora village in Jammu and Kashmir’s Shopian district on Monday. The youth has been shifted to a hospital and is said to be critical. Police identified the injured as Sabzar Ahmad Naikoo, a resident of Nildoora. According to reports, Naikoo is an employee of the Block Development Council (BDC). “Militants fired at Sabzar Ahmad Naikoo in his native village at Nildoora in Shopian, injuring him critically,” a police official said. The official said Naikoo was referred to SKIMS hospital in Srinagar in critical condition.

Defence Minister Rajnath Singh unveiled a replacement Defence Acquisition Procedure (DAP) with attention on significantly boosting indigenous production and turning India into a worldwide manufacturing hub of weapons and military platforms.
