Apple is reportedly working on a two-coil wireless charging technology for an iPhone battery case without using the Lightning connector. In a patent that was filed in May 2019 and was awarded to Apple recently, the company describes a smart battery case that could use two coils for bidirectional wireless charging, AppleInsider reported. “A battery case has first and second coils on opposing sides of a battery and has switching circuitry that is coupled between the first and second coils,” the patent read. Three militants were killed in an encounter with security forces on Saturday morning in Amshipora village of south Kashmir’s Shopian district. An official said the encounter broke out after a joint team of Police, Army’s 62 RR and CRPF launched a cordon and search operation on specific information about the presence of militants in the area. Actress Aishwarya Rai Bachchan has been taken to Mumbai’s Nanavati Hospital to be treated for COVID-19, news agency ANI reports. The 46-year-old actress tested positive some days ago and was placed in isolation at the Bachchan residence Jalsa, which was sealed by the Brihanmumbai Corporation or BMC as were the three other bungalows owned by the family. The flood situation in Assam continued to remain grim on Friday, as five more deaths were reported, taking the death toll due to the monsoon deluge to 76, while around 36 lakh people in 28 of the state’s 33 districts have been affected. According to the officials of Assam State Disaster Management Authority (ASDMA), of the 36 lakh flood-affected people, around 22 lakh are in four districts – Dhubri (892,109), Goalpara (443,768), Barpeta (429,708) and Morigaon (424,541).
