Pakistan-backed Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM) militants are planning terrorist strikes in India after entering the country through Kashmir and Gujarat, the Indian Army said on Thursday. The militant threats come on the back of India abrogating special category status to the state of Jammu and Kashmir by abrogating Article 370 of the Constitution earlier this month. The prosecution on Thursday sought five-day custody of former Finance Minister P. Chidambaram, who was arrested by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Wednesday night in connection with the INX media case. The custody was sought by Solicitor General Tushar Mehta in the Rouse Avenue court where Chidambaram was brought under heavy security from the CBI headquarters.
