A second attempt to repatriate Rohingya refugees living in Bangladesh to Myanmar hit a snag on Thursday as the refugees remained reluctant to return to their homeland, officials here said. Refugee, Relief and Repatriation Commissioner Md Abul Kalam said that the Bangladesh authorities made all the necessary arrangements but none of the Rohingyas were willing to return on their own volition, bdnews24.com reported. Thirty more prisoners from Jammu and Kashmir have been shifted to the Agra jail on Thursday. These prisoners were brought by a special aircraft to the Kheria airport in Agra from where they were taken to the jail amidst tight security. Earlier, on August 9, 30 prisoners form Kashmir had been brought to Agra jail where they are being kept in high security barracks. The MansarovarYatra has been halted in Uttrakhand after heavy rain washed away a portion of the road connecting Tanakpur-Champawat. Many of the pilgrims were forced to return, an official said. A total of 56 pilgrims were headed to Mansarovar on this route. As per the officials, six of eight pilgrims, who left the Yatra, have blamed bad roads in the upper Himalayan region.
