The Home Ministry has declared Hafiz Talha Saeed, one of the top leaders of the terrorist organization Lashkar-e-Taiba, as a terrorist under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act, 1967. Talha Saeed is the son of Hafiz Mohammad Saeed and heads a wing of Lashkar-e-Taiba. A ministry notification said Saeed has primarily been active in India in recruiting for the organization, raising funds, planning attacks and against Indian interests in Afghanistan. The ministry said that Saeed has been promoting jihad against India, Israel, the US and other western countries by visiting Lashkar centers in Pakistan.
