Over 600 development projects related to development of infrastructure in North Eastern States were completed since fiscal 2014-15 till date, Union Minister Jitendra Singh on Thursday. The Jammu and Kashmir administration has come to the rescue to Srinagar-based BPO AEGIS, which was about to shut down operations after its main client Vodafone stopped giving it business earlier this month. Vodafone was the biggest client of AEGIS BPO in Srinagar. After the telecom company stopped directing its calls to the call centre, its more than 80 employees were given the option of either taking a transfer to other AEGIS branches in the country or resigning with a three-month payout.
