Eleven people, including two children, have died in a road accident in Jhalar area of Betul district in Madhya Pradesh early today. According to the police, the accident took place when an SUV vehicle collided with an empty bus on Bainsdehi road. The dead included six men, three women and two children.
According to the latest information, the workers in the SUV vehicle were coming from Amravati in Maharashtra. District Collector Aman Birsingh Bais has told that the post-mortem of the dead is being sent to their native village. The concerned department has been directed to give ex-gratia amount to the next of kin of the deceased.
Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has expressed grief over loss of lives in road accidents. He has directed to give two lakh rupees to the next of kin of each of the deceased and ten thousand rupees to the injured. The injured will be given free treatment.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi has expressed grief for those killed in a road accident in Betul district of Madhya Pradesh. He announced ex-gratia amount to the victims from the Prime Minister’s National Relief Fund. The Prime Minister announced an ex-gratia of Rs 2 lakh each to the next of kin of the deceased and Rs 50,000 each to the injured.
