In the last 24 hours, India reported more than 1.31 lakh. With this the shocking news of health workers has discouraged people to visit hospitals as healthcare workers too are getting infected now. According to the health department, 22 doctors at Delhi’s AIIMS have tested positive for COVID-19. According to AIIMS officials, 25% of the 22 doctors who tested positive have received Covid-19 vaccines.

The 22 positive cases of Covid-19 at AIIMS Delhi were discovered between April 1 and April 9, according to officials. Prior to this 37 doctors at Delhi’s Sir Ganga Ram Hospital turned positive. All 37 doctors who tested positive were immunized. The virus has infected 37 doctors, 32 of whom are in home isolation with mild symptoms, and five of whom have been admitted to the hospital for treatment.

“At the Sir Ganga Ram Hospital, 37 doctors have tested positive for Covid-19, with the majority of these corona warriors having mild symptoms. Thirty-two doctors are in home isolation, and the remaining five are admitted to the hospital,” a hospital source said.

Meanwhile, on Thursday, Delhi recorded 7,437 new Covid-19 cases, the highest single-day increase this year. According to the city’s health department, twenty-four more people died as a result of the coronavirus infection, bringing the total death toll to 11,157.

The positivity rate increased to 8.1% from 6.1% the previous day, as the massive increase in cases seen over the last few weeks continues.

As the number of Covid-19 cases in Delhi continues to rise, the Rajiv Gandhi Super Specialty Hospital has suspended all non-Covid services in order to combat the rapid spread of coronavirus cases.
