Age limit increased from 21 years to 23 years for Agneepath Recruitment Scheme

The Central Government has increased the maximum age limit for Agneepath Recruitment Scheme from 21 to 23 years. The Ministry of Defense said yesterday that age relaxation will be given only once in the proposed recruitment of this year. This decision has been taken as there is no recruitment in the last two years.

The government has said that Agniveers will be given priority in the recruitment of Central Armed Police Forces and State Police. An illusion is being spread that the future of Agniveers is not secure. The government said that young entrepreneurs who aspire to become entrepreneurs will get financial packages and loans from banks. Such Agniveers who continue their studies will be given a certificate equivalent to class 12th. Through the Agneepath scheme, the opportunities of youth in the armed forces will increase to a great extent. In the coming years, three times more youth will be recruited in the Armed Forces than the current recruitment.

This scheme will provide a unique opportunity to the youth to serve the country and contribute in nation building. A brief military service has immense benefits for the nation, society and youth.
