Union Joint General Secretary of Vishwa Hindu Parishad Dr. Surendra Jain has condemned the violence done by a section of the Muslim society across the country on the occasion of Muharram, saying that this violent attitude is a matter of concern for the entire civilized society. At some places the Kavadis were attacked and at some places they were attacked for stopping them from hoisting the Muharram flag on the temple. In Delhi’s Nangloi, not only the police, buses, cars, scooters and motorcycles leaving from there were attacked and Hindus were beaten with sticks and stones. Due to this, not only vehicles were damaged there, dozens of Hindus and policemen were also injured. VHP condemns this inhuman violence in the strongest terms.
Be it Eid or Muharram and Ramzan, be it Muslim festivals or Hindu festivals, this type of anti-Hindu aggression has been on the rise in the last several years. A special strategy is visible in these attacks. Among the attackers, minor children are put forward so that even if they are caught, they can be released from jail after getting a minor punishment. It is clearly visible that this is happening under a planned conspiracy. First, some leaders and clerics of the Muslim community instigate violence on one pretext or the other, and then when caught, an army of big lawyers is formed.
Dr. Jain said that Hindus and the country are being harmed by these conspiracies, it is also suicidal for the Muslim community itself. They are taking their young generation towards destruction, not development. He said that they have to understand how long the Hindu will also continue to be beaten. Police administration will also have to reconsider its role.
If Muslim-dominated areas are declared sensitive in Hindu festivals and processions, the route of travel is changed from there, then the same criteria should be adopted in Muslim festivals and processions.
He asked whether Hindus do not even have the right to celebrate their festivals peacefully? Will he remain tense due to the possibility of possible attacks on him on Muslim festivals? This yaksha question is also important for those politicians who keep trying to provoke them with any pretext for vote bank.
Vishwa Hindu Parishad appeals to these secularist politicians and Muslim leaders that they should reconsider their role. What kind of society do they want to build? Society should not be divided on the occasion of festivals, rather they should be celebrated together. This separatist mindset is fatal for all sections of the society. Everyone together should stop this mentality, not these selfish leaders and clerics should encourage it for their own interests.
