Prime Minister Narendra Modi is going to America for a state visit on 22nd of this month, but even before his visit, the White House has praised Indian democracy. In fact, John Kirby, coordinator of strategic communications at the National Security Council in the White House, said on Monday that ‘India is a vibrant democracy, as anyone visiting New Delhi can see for themselves’.
He said that both countries have a unique role to play in maintaining the rules-based international order. He further said that since I last visited India in 2021, our global and strategic partnership has grown rapidly.
Today the US-India partnership is a cornerstone of a free and open Indo-Pacific, and our deep ties show how innovation and growing military cooperation between the two technological superpowers can be a force for global good.
