Rashtriya Loktantrik Party (RLP) chief and MLA from Nagaur Hanuman Beniwal said, “The BJP is not indulging in horse-trading.”
He went on to accuse Rajasthan CM Ashok Gehlot of misusing the Special Operations Group (SOG). “He (Gehlot) is getting phones tapped. A husband is scared to talk to his wife over the phone these days! We do not have any privacy,” Beniwal claimed.
While stating that the Congress government in the state has lost the people’s trust and will fall, Hanuman Beniwal said that CM Gehlot brought over Mayawati’s MLAs twice using dubious means. He added, “BTP MLAs, who said they were being held captive, are saying today they are with Ashok Gehlot. It is possible then when a floor test happens, they could go against Gehlot!”
The MLA from Nagaur also accused CM Ashok Gehlot of luring MLAs with cabinet berths. He added, “Why has he (Gehlot) not expanded his cabinet yet? Because many others will leave him!”
Responding to allegations he levelled against former Rajasthan CM Vasundhara Raje of helping CM Gehlot’s government, Hanuman Beniwal stated, “I am saying it 3,000 times. I stand firm, I stand firm, I stand firm. I have been speaking against the duo Vasundhara-Gehlot. That is why I formed my separate party.”
He goes on to claim, “Vasundhara was trying to lure away two Jat MLAs – one from Sikar, and one from Nagaur — from the Pilot camp to Gehlot camp. It is because of my tweet, she had to break her silence. I have been telling the BJP.”
“Ashok Gehlot’s allegations of horse-trading are baseless. BJP does not need to buy MLAs. We are 75 of us, who have been fighting Ashok Gehlot in the Opposition. Sachin Pilot has about 25 MLAs that takes it to 100,” Hanuman Beniwal said.
The RLP chief also reiterated allegations levelled by the BJP against CM Gehlot. He said, “All phones are on surveillance. Home Secretary said he has not given permission for tapping. We demand a CBI enquiry! Phones are being tapped for a very long time. Gehlot has been doing it in the case of us who speak against him for a long time. My phone is being tapped for a very long time! Even Vasundhara did it. I fought her for five years!”
“Government is trapped inside a hotel! I think the government will fall. Floor test will make everything clear. The minute a floor test is announced, Gehlot won’t even have 90 MLAs with him. People are waiting to defect,” Hanuman Beniwal suggested.
