BSF along with Punjab Police foiled smuggling along Punjab border with Pakistan

The Border Security Force (BSF) in collaboration with Punjab Police successfully foiled three smuggling attempts along the Punjab border with Pakistan. The operation was carried out at four different locations yesterday evening, leading to the arrest of three Indian smugglers. A total of over five kilograms of narcotics, especially heroin, was recovered in the operation, besides a drone.

According to BSF sources, the officers had received information about the movement of suspicious persons in a farm house in the border area of ​​Gurdaspur. Based on this information, the BSF conducted a joint operation with the Punjab Police. In this operation, two smugglers were arrested with more than four kilograms of heroin.

Besides, during operations conducted in Fazilka, Amritsar, and Tarn Taran, another smuggler was arrested, leading to the recovery of more heroin. The arrested smugglers have been handed over to Punjab Police for interrogation.

This success shows how important coordination and cooperation between the Border Security Force and the state police plays in taking an effective stand against smuggling. Such joint actions not only help in thwarting smuggling attempts but also enhance security on the borders.
