To celebrate the ties between India and Canada, members of the Canadian Indian Diaspora organized a tiranga (tricolor flag) and Maple Car rally. Carrying flags of India and Canada,
more than 100 cars took part in the rally.
The intrusion of pro-Khalistani forces was a major problem during the rally because they not only harassed the participants and blocked traffic, but also attacked them for praising India. The Indian diaspora’s car-rally did not go well due to pro-Khalistanis, who intimidated and insulted the Indians.
There was a series of videos showing the Khalistani supporters who were bullying and pushing down the pro-Indians on the social media sites. The pro-Khalistan forces entered during the rally shot at them, asking them to ‘go to drink piss,’ while the Indian National Flag was insulted.
“Go and drink piss,” can be heard as a pro Khalistani advocate of violence. Now (after hitting) are you happy? Are you going and drinking urine? You won’t be strongly b*st*rd when you drink urine.”
A pro-Khalistani supporter can be heard abusing, โGo and drink urine. Are you happy now (after he got hit)? Go and drink urine? Drinking urine will not make you strong you b*st*rd.โ
