CBI says that the new liquor policy was implemented without the permission of the then Lieutenant Governor of Delhi, Anil Baijal. It has been said in the FIR that by taking bribe, the Delhi government also gave licenses to many such people who were not eligible for it. This liquor policy was implemented in November last year and was withdrawn within eight months after allegations of corruption.
Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia on Tuesday said that the CBI did not find anything during the search of his locker. A four-member CBI team searched Sisodia’s bank locker in the Punjab National Bank branch at Vasundhara in Ghaziabad for nearly two hours today.
Sisodia was also present in the bank with his wife.
