A Gandhinagar court on Tuesday sentenced self-styled godman Asaram to life imprisonment after holding him guilty in a rape case filed by a former female disciple in 2013. Currently lodged in Jodhpur jail, 81-year-old Asaram is serving life sentence in another case of raping a minor girl at his ashram in Rajasthan in 2013.
The victim’s father said that Asaram was very relieved after being punished. Truth always wins. He was fighting his battle by following the path of truth. He said that Asaram is plotting against him while sitting inside the jail. He is getting false cases filed against him through his disciples. He was not even sparing the witnesses.
The victim was also very happy. He said that the court was already trusted evil.
