ICMR has come under heavy criticism for setting a deadline of August 15 to launch the coronavirus vaccine that Bharat Biotech and ICMR are jointly working on. ICMR has written to medical institutions and hospitals to expedite the trials of Covaxin for the vaccine’s launch before August 15.
