Schools and colleges have been closed in many states including Pakistan’s Punjab province. In view of the ruckus, Imran Khan will not be produced in the court today. The case will be heard at the same place where they are kept.
There were reports of violence in several places including Lahore, Peshawar, Quetta, Karachi and Rawalpindi. PTI protesters are targeting government properties and police and military offices. Pakistan’s security forces including police and army tried to stop them. In this, at least 3 people were killed and dozens were injured. At the same time, property on vehicles has been damaged on a large scale. The protesters plan to reach Islamabad.
Explain that after the arrest of Imran Khan in the Toshakhana case, his party Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has announced a shutdown and demonstrations across Pakistan on Wednesday (May 10, 2023). In view of this, internet service has been stopped in almost entire Pakistan. PTI leaders say that they and lawyers are not being allowed to meet Imran Khan.
