NDA’s presidential candidate Draupadi Murmu filed her nomination at the Parliament House Complex today. He filled the form in the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Ministers Rajnath Singh, Amit Shah, Nitin Gadkari, BJP President JP Nadda and Chief Ministers of BJP and NDA ruled states and leaders of NDA allies.
Murmu spoke to Congress President Sonia Gandhi, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee and Nationalist Congress Party chief Sharad Pawar and sought their party’s support.
Opposition candidate Yashwant Sinha will file his nomination for the post of President on June 27. The last date for filing nominations is June 29. Polling will be held on July 18 and counting of votes will be done on July 21.
