Eight people were killed when a vehicle carrying processions collided with a truck at Jogia Udaipur in Siddharthnagar district. police gave this information.
According to the information, some processions were returning by car after attending the wedding program, when their car collided with a truck parked on the roadside in village Kataya of Udaipur’s Jogia district and seven people in the vehicle died while seriously. One injured person died during treatment at Gorakhpur Medical College.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi has condoled the incident. He has announced an ex-gratia of Rs 2 lakh each to the next of kin of the deceased.
The Prime Minister’s Office tweeted quoting Modi, “The road accident in Siddharthnagar, Uttar Pradesh is extremely painful. My condolences are with the bereaved family members. May God give them the strength to bear this immense sorrow.
