The Punjab Police has arrested five people in connection with three blasts near the Golden Temple in Amritsar this week. These include the explosion near the Golden Temple this morning. Director General of Punjab Police Gaurav Yadav told reporters in Amritsar that the arrested persons have confessed to their crime.
Gaurav Yadav said that a special team will be formed to investigate the matter thoroughly and scientifically. This investigation team will find out the relations of the accused in the country and abroad and the motive behind the blasts. The Director General of Police said that the involvement of the accused in the blast incidents is confirmed by CCTV footage, mobile phone locations and other evidence.
