The Bharatiya Janata Party today said that no one is above the law, be it Mrs. Sonia Gandhi or Mr. Rahul Gandhi and the law will apply equally to all. Party spokesperson Gaurav Bhatia alleged at a press conference in New Delhi that the Gandhi family is the most corrupt family in the world. He said that it is not the birthright of the Gandhi family that the investigating agencies in corruption cases cannot summon them as per law.
He said that if there is any most corrupt family not only in India but in the whole world, it is the Gandhi family. Because three members of a family Sonia Gandhi are accused of corruption and out on bail.
Bhatia said that corrupt people will have to fear and bow before the law. He said that the Congress party should tell the country that Mrs. Sonia Gandhi and Mr. Rahul Gandhi are out on bail in the National Herald case for corruption. Mrs Gandhi’s son-in-law Robert Vadra is out on anticipatory bail in a case related to allegations of bribery in a land deal.
Denying the allegation of political vendetta, Bhatia said that neither the High Court nor the Supreme Court has quashed any proceedings against the Gandhi family in corruption cases. He said that now the investigating agencies are independent and working in a fair manner.
