Gunfight Breaks Out In Kashmir’s Baramulla

A confrontation between the terrorists and the security forces broke out in the northern Kashmir district of Baramulla on Thursday morning, officials said.

The encounter took place in the Kreeri district after security forces had bundled off the area and conducted a search operation on the basis of detailed intelligence on the involvement of terrorists.

When security forces blew up on the location where the terrorists were hiding, they came under a huge amount of fire that caused the encounter.

“The meeting began in the Wanigam Payeen Kreeri area of Baramulla. The police and armed services are at work,” the police said.
