The Ministry of Home Affairs has asked the States and Union Territories to ensure strict adherence to the COVID norms during the upcoming festive season. Home Secretary Ajay Bhalla in a letter to the States and Union Territories has said that there is a possibility of non-compliance of COVID norms during festivals. NS

He has asked the states to keep a close watch on the crowd to prevent the increase in the cases of Kovid infection. It has been said in the letter that due to gathering of crowds in fairs and festivals and religious events and functions, new cases of Kovid may come to the fore.
