In a move that will further boost the Indian Air Force`s (IAF) offensive arsenal in the near future, the air arm of the Indian Armed Forces will be getting three more Rafale fighter jets by Wednesday evening. They will be arriving at the Ambala airbase in Haryana.

It is to be noted that the first batch of five Rafale jets had arrived in India on July 28 and were officially inducted on September 10 by the Narendra Modi government.

With the induction of these aircraft, the IAF will have total of eight Rafale fighter aircraft. The three Rafale jets will be operationalised within a few days in view of the ongoing situation, top government sources told India Today.

The previously procured Rafale fighters have already been operationalised and have also been deployed in the conflict zone of Ladakh in the short duration of time they have been with the Air Force.
