India gives a befitting reply as Pakistan resorts to unprovoked firing across the border

With the Pakistani army resorting to unprovoked ceasefire violations, about eight Pakistani soldiers were killed in Indian retaliatory firing on the LOC yesterday. The causalities have risen to 16. The list of Pakistan Army soldiers killed includes two-three Pakistan Army Special Service Group (SSG) commandoes: Indian Army sources were quoted as saying by news agency ANI.

Also the amount of artillery that were destroyed Pak Army bunkers, fuel dumps, and launch pads. Indian Army’s heavy retaliation came after Pakistan Army resorted to unprovoked firing in various sectors along the LoC.

Earlier during the day, the Pakistan Army carried out unprovoked ceasefire violations in multiple sectors from Uri to Gurez along the LoC in Jammu and Kashmir. Three Indian Army soldiers were killed in two separate locations in Jammu and Kashmir while foiling infiltration bids by Pakistan-backed terrorists and during ceasefire violation by Pakistan. While two soldiers were killed in Uri sector one was killed in the Gurez sector, Army sources said here.

“Four people who were injured during the ceasefire violation by Pakistan are admitted to the Uri sub-district hospital,” Reyaz Ahmad Malik, SDM Baramulla district told news agency ANI.

“Pakistan initiated unprovoked Ceasefire Violation along the LoC spread across multiple sectors to include Dawar, Keran, Uri & Naugam. Pakistan used Mortars & other weapons. Pakistan deliberately targeted civilian areas. Three Indian Army soldiers have been Killed in Action (KIA) and three soldiers injured. The Nation salutes their supreme sacrifice. Own troops retaliated strongly causing substantial damage to Pakistan Army’s infrastructure and casualties across the LoC. Several ammunition dumps, FOL dumps and multiple terrorists launch pads have been damaged,” Northern Command of the Indian Army said
