Italy become Euro Cup football champions after a penalty shootout win over England

Italy has won the title of Euro Cup Football-2020. Italy won the match after beating England 3-2 in a penalty shootout in the final last night.

Earlier, both the teams were tied at the end of 90 minutes of play, after which the decision was made through a penalty shoot-out. Italy’s goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnaruma emerged as the hero of the penalty shoot-out.

Earlier in 1976, the Euro Cup final match between Czechoslovakia and West Germany was decided by a penalty shootout. In which Czechoslovakia won the title.
