PM Modi promised jobs, development and education in the poll-bound state of West Bengal. He openly challenged Mamata Banerjee’s ‘Khela Hobe’ slogan.

PM Modi stated at a public meeting in Purulia, West Bengal, ahead of the state assembly elections, “Didi bole khela hobe, BJP bole chaakri hobe. Didi bole khela hobe, BJP bole vikas hobe. Didi bole khela hobe, BJP bole shiksha hobe. Khela shesh hobe, vikas aarambh hobe.”

“First, the Left government and then the TMC government did not allow factories to thrive here; the kind of work that should’ve been done for irrigation did not take place; I know the problems faced in rearing livestock due to a lack of water; the TMC government was busy in its’khel’ by leaving farmers on their own,” he said.

“Didi, year after year, you haven’t been able to create even one Setu, and now you’re dreaming about business and development?” he continued. PM Modi assured the people that after the establishment of the BJP government, development will take place in West Bengal that will make people’s lives easier and their problems will be resolved on a priority basis.

“Your concerns will be resolved on a priority basis following the establishment of the BJP government in Bengal. When a two-engine government is established in Bengal, there will be growth and your life will be made easier “He continued. The Prime Minister accused the Trinamool Congress (TMC) government of depriving the citizens of Purulia of water and subjecting them to migration and unfair governance, resulting in the region being labeled as one of the most backward in the world.

“The TMC government is simply playing a game. Purulia’s life has been blighted by the water shortage as a result of these people’s actions. Purulia has been granted permission to migrate. They also given discriminatory government to the people of Purulia. They also branded Purulia as one of the most backward parts of the world “According to the Prime Minister.

The Prime Minister described Purulia as “the land that bears witness to Lord Ram and Goddess Sita’s exile,” adding that it is ironic that the land that once quenched Goddess Sita’s thirst is now facing a water crisis.

“This land bears witness to the exile of Lord Ram and Goddess Sita. Sitakund can be found on this property. It is also said that when the goddess Sita became thirsty, Lord Ram obtained water from the ground by striking it with an arrow. It is ironic that Purulia is now experiencing a water shortage. Water scarcity is currently a major issue in Purulia. Farmers and tribal-forest dwellers in this region do not have enough water to cultivate properly. The women here have to walk a long way to get drinking water “He said.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi There was a related water shortage in other areas of the world. Hundreds of kilometers of pipeline were laid and ponds were constructed everywhere the BJP was given the opportunity to work. The water shortage is now over. Farmers in the region have begun to plant a number of crops.

He also said that the TMC government did little to improve irrigation facilities and was “busy in its ‘khel,’ leaving farmers on their own.”

Elections to the 294-member state Assembly will take place in eight phases beginning March 27, with the final round of voting on April 29. The ballots will be counted on May 2nd.
