Senior Congress leader Manish Tewari on Wednesday questioned the non-disclosure of the list of representatives related to the election of the party president and said that it is necessary to put this list on the party’s website for fair and free elections.
Lok Sabha member Tiwari said that this does not happen even in club elections. He tweeted, “With all due respect to Madhusudan Mistry ji, how can there be fair and free elections without the electoral rolls being publicly available? The basis of fair and free elections is that the names and addresses of the representatives should be published on the website of the Congress party in a transparent manner.
TIWARI, WHO WAS PART OF THE ‘G23’ GROUP OF THE CONGRESS, SAID, “THIS IS NOT AN ELECTION FOR THE 28 PRADESH CONGRESS COMMITTEES AND THE EIGHT REGIONAL CONGRESS COMMITTEES. WHY WOULD ANYONE GO TO THE PCC OFFICE TO FIND OUT WHO THE REPRESENTATIVES ARE? I WANT TO SAY WITH RESPECT THAT THIS DOES NOT HAPPEN EVEN IN CLUB ELECTIONS.
“I request you (Mistry) to publish the list to ensure fairness and transparency,” he said
