Nasal Indian anti-Covid vaccine to be available from January

Bharat Biotech’s nasal anti-covid vaccine Incovac will hit the market from the fourth week of January 2023. Bharat Biotech told that this vaccine will be available in the private market at a price of Rs.800 per dose and Rs.325 per dose to the central and state governments.

This nasal vaccine can be given as a booster dose to people above 18 years of age. Incovat is the first needle-free anti-Covid vaccine to be administered by nose, developed by Bharat Biotech in partnership with the University of Washington, USA.

The company claims that Incovac is the world’s first nasal vaccine against COVID-19. The government has approved the use of Bharat Biotech’s nasal vaccine as a booster dose. According to the information, approval has also been given for both the primary doses given against Kovid-19. In the case of a booster dose, a separate dose may be given from the two primary doses.
