Nine killed in road accident in Kerala’s Palakkad

Nine people have died in a road accident in Kerala. The accident happened at midnight at Vadakkancherry in Palakkad district. A tourist bus carrying school children collided with a Kerala State Road Transport Corporation bus from behind.

According to reports, school children were also among those killed in the accident. There were 37 students, 5 teachers and two bus employees in the bus. 38 injured have been admitted to Thrissur Medical School Hospital.

The condition of four of them remains critical. Some of the injured were taken to the hospital in Alatur. The crashed bus was on its way to Tamil Nadu tourist destination Ooty carrying children.
