The precise airstrikes carried out by the Indian Army under ‘Operation Sindoor’ had a huge impact in Pakistan. The strategic intervention resulted in the implementation of extensive security measures in Pakistan.
As part of security protocols, Pakistan has put its major airports on high alert. All flights from Karachi’s Jinnah International Airport have been cancelled, indicating the gravity of the situation.
According to data from Flightradar24, Pakistani airspace was unusually quiet at 11am on Wednesday. The number of aircraft movements was significantly reduced compared to normal days, with only a few flights operating on the Beijing-Dubai and Lahore-Karachi routes.
The Indian Army clarified that nine terrorist hideouts were targeted under ‘Operation Sindoor’, including in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir. This action was taken in the context of the barbaric Pahalgam terrorist attack, in which 25 Indians and one Nepali citizen were killed.
India described the operation as balanced and non-provocative, also clarifying that no Pakistani military installations were targeted. The country remains firm in its resolve that those responsible for the terror attack will be held accountable.
