Petition filed in High Court to hand over investigation of Shraddha murder case to CBI

A PIL filed in the Delhi High Court has sought a direction to transfer the Shraddha Walkar murder investigation from the Delhi Police to the CBI.

The petition alleged that the presence of media and public at the crime scene amounts to tampering with the evidence.

The petition is likely to be listed for Wednesday. In it, it was alleged that the Delhi Police has kept every information related to the investigation of the case before the media and the public, which is not allowed by the law. The petition claimed that the Delhi Police has not yet ‘sealed’ the places related to the incident, where people and media personnel are continuously going.
