Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Russian President Vladimir Putin arrived at the bilateral meeting venue in the same vehicle after the conclusion of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) summit. Prime Minister Modi shared information about this meeting on the social media platform X.

In his message, Prime Minister Modi mentioned, “After the SCO Summit, President Putin and I went together to the bilateral meeting venue. Talks with him are always informative.” This meeting is a symbol of strong diplomatic relations between India and Russia.

Earlier, pictures of informal talks between PM Modi, Chinese President Xi Jinping and Russian President Putin were published during the SCO summit. The photographs show the three leaders smiling and conversing, reminiscent of scenes from the BRICS summit held in Kazan, Russia.

In another photo, Putin on the left, PM Modi in the middle and Xi Jinping on the right gathered for the SCO group photo. Sharing this photo, PM Modi wrote, “Meetings continue in Tianjin. Exchanged views with President Putin and President Xi during the SCO Summit.”

A notable moment during the summit was witnessed when PM Modi and President Putin walked past Pakistani PM Shahbaz Sharif, who was standing in silence at the time. The incident took place during a photo session of the leaders of the SCO member countries held in Tianjin.
