Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of development projects worth more than Rs 13,000 crore at a function held in Gaya, Bihar. These projects are related to rail, road, electricity, housing, water supply and health sectors.
In his address, Prime Minister Modi described Bihar as the land of Chandragupta and Chanakya and said that the resolutions taken here do not go in vain. Referring to the Pahalgam terror attack, he mentioned “Operation Sindoor”, which has added a new dimension to India’s defense policy.
Highlighting the priorities of the NDA government, the Prime Minister said that the rapid development of Bihar is the main priority of the Central Government. He accused the opposition parties of deliberately delaying the projects, while the NDA government emphasizes on completing the projects in a timely manner.
The Prime Minister mentioned the “Pradhan Mantri Vikasit Bharat Rojgar Yojana” which came into effect from August 15, under which assistance of Rs 15,000 will be provided to the youth getting their first job in the private sector. He also discussed the new anti-corruption law, which also includes the Prime Minister and the Chief Minister.
More than 16,000 families of Magadh region were provided with permanent houses under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana at the event. The Prime Minister assured that this campaign will continue until every poor family gets a permanent house.
The eight kilometer long six-lane bridge between Auta and Begusarai was also inaugurated, the foundation stone of which was also laid by the Modi government.
