AIMIM posts posters in Kanpur demanding the execution of Yati Narsinghanand and Wasim Rizvi. It was reported that one of Kanpur’s billboards depicted Yati Narsinghanand Saraswati’s head severed from his body. Along with Narsinghanand Saraswati’s decapitated body, the poster also depicted a beheaded Wasim Rizvi, the former chairman of the Shia Central Board of Waqf in Uttar Pradesh. Another heinous poster depicted a dog and a child urinating on Narsinghanand Saraswati and Wasim Rizvi. The poster also demanded the execution of Yati Narsinghanand Saraswati and Wasim Rizvi.
Kanpur police responded on social media as well, stating that the posters had been removed and an investigation into the matter had been launched. Yati Narsinghanand Saraswati has been under fire since making remarks about Prophet Muhammad. Since then, many Muslim hardliners in various cities have protested against the head priest of the Dasna Devi Temple. Several Muslim groups and even mainstream political parties have repeatedly called for the priest’s beheading for alleged blasphemy.
Enraged by Islamic fanatics openly calling for the murder of Yati Narsinghanand Saraswati, Hindus from all over the country are banding together to show their support for the Hindu priest.
