Tight lockdown eased in some areas in Shanghai tomorrow

Strict lockdown was eased in select areas in Shanghai, China, although more than 26 thousand new locally infected cases were registered in Shanghai with 914 people infected.

Chinese authorities have re-classified Shanghai’s 16 districts based on the severity of the COVID outbreak after six rounds of mass testing.

A total of 7 thousand 565 areas have been declared as “Precautionary Zones” of the least-risk category as no case of Omicron variant has been reported here in the last 14 days. There were constant complaints by the local residents regarding the supply of food and daily essentials.
