White House claims Gaza reconstruction and hostage return: ‘Board of Peace’ described as major diplomatic achievement

The White House has hailed the return of Israeli hostages from Gaza and the creation of a new international mechanism for post-war reconstruction as a major US foreign policy achievement in the Middle East. Press Secretary Caroline Levitt said during a briefing that these developments are crucial for the stability of Israel as well as the entire region.

Levitt cited President Donald Trump as having helped secure the return of the body of the last surviving hostage from Gaza, calling it a positive sign for the US, its allies, and regional peace.

According to the White House, more than 20 countries have signed onto the Board of Peace , a new international platform focused on rebuilding Gaza . The Press Secretary called the initiative a “historic achievement” of the Trump Administration, saying that sustained diplomatic efforts made progress even under complex circumstances.
