China may use its ‘pawn’ Pakistan to enter Afghanistan through its borders: IAF chief RKS Bhadauria

Pakistan is becoming a pawn of Chinese strategy and could be used by Beijing to invade Afghanistan after the withdrawal of US troops, said Indian Air Force Chief RKS Bhadauria on Tuesday to clarify the objectives behind China’s Ladakh aggression and the ongoing standoff at the Line of Actual Control.

Pakistan is gradually becoming a pawn in Chinese politics. Under the expanded debt trap of the Chin-Pakistan Economic Corridor, we will see more military reliance,” he said.

Speaking of China’s global ambitions and military supremacy, the IAF leader said that Beijing is now looking at Afghanistan and discussing the idea of China using Pakistan to gain entrance into the war-torn nation after the US powers left.

The US exit from Afghanistan has opened up opportunities for China in the region, both directly and via Pakistan, allowing it to reach Central Asia, a region they’ve been watching for a long time,” he said.

In the sense of China’s supremacy in the region, the Leader of the Indian Air Force referred to the future targets of this year’s Chinese aggression in Ladakh, which has led to a standoff and unparalleled military build-up on both sides since early May.

China’s ambitions are on the global front, and regional dominance is part of the course. Any serious dispute between China and India is not good for China on the global front and does not achieve its target,” said Air Chief Marshal Bhadauria.

He added that understanding China, its game plan, and deepening and changing Sino-Pak ties are an important national security problem.
