Former India opener Gautam Gambhir doesn’t see major changes within the way cricket is played within the post COVID-19 scenario besides the ban on using saliva on the ball. The International Cricket Council is considering legalisation of the usage of artificial substances to shine the ball rather than saliva. “I don’t think tons of rules and regulations are going to be changed, you’ll probably have an alternate for the usage of saliva aside from that i do not think numerous changes will happen,” Gambhir told Star Sports.

“Players and everybody else got to accept this virus; probably they need to urge wont to it that there’s an epidemic which it’ll be around. Players might find yourself catching it, and you bought to measure with it.”

Though social distancing is feasible in cricket to a particular extent, other sports will find it tougher when sporting action resumes, said the southpaw.

“Social distancing and other rules might not be easy for any sport to take care o .You’ll still manage to try to to it with cricket, but how will you are doing it in football, hockey and other sports also . So, i feel you only need to accept it, probably the earlier you accept it, the higher it’s” Gambhir said.
