Shubman Gill becomes number 1 ODI batsman, Rohit Sharma also included in top 3

In the recently concluded ICC Men’s Champions Trophy, India defeated New Zealand by four wickets to win their third title. After this spectacular victory, Indian captain Rohit Sharma has moved to third place in the ODI batting rankings, while his co-player Shubman Gill remains at the top position. Rohit played a crucial innings of 76 runs in the final match, for which he received the Player of the Match award.

Virat Kohli, who scored 218 runs during the tournament, also maintained his position and remains at fifth place. Among New Zealand batsmen, Daryl Mitchell moved up one place to sixth, while young talent Rachin Ravindra jumped 14 places to 14th position. Glenn Phillips also improved his ranking and reached 24th position.

New Zealand captain Mitchell Santner made headlines for his excellent bowling performance, taking nine wickets in the tournament. His excellence has taken him to second place in the ODI bowling rankings. India’s spin duo Kuldeep Yadav and Ravindra Jadeja have also improved their rankings, Kuldeep is third with seven wickets and Jadeja is 10th with five wickets.

Finally, Afghanistan’s Azmatullah Umarzai remains at the top of the ODI all-rounder rankings, while Mitchell Santner and Michael Bracewell have improved their positions significantly following the Champions Trophy results, with Santner moving to fourth and Bracewell to seventh.
